The Architects Alliance was asked to create a new financial facility on
the state headquarters
campus. The natural environment influences the building's vocabulary.
Exterior materials include precast concrete with exposed Missouri River
rock
aggregate, cedar siding, and indigenous landscaping. The interior
includes skylights, exposed wood trusses, and views from every space to
the forest and fish ponds beyond. A vaulted corridor spine collects
warm air which can be returned to lower areas via a fan duct concealed
in the wall, while also allowing natural light to enter.
