These middle schools are similar in plan and were constructed simultaneously on opposite sides of the community. The plan is T-shaped with academics and specialty classrooms organized around assembly/dining, media, and recreational spaces. Two story academic wings keep students of similar ages together. Each pod includes classrooms, computers and labs around a centralized assembly space for students and workspace for faculty. One pod allows future growth within the building. The gymnasium complex is flanked on one side by athletic training rooms / locker rooms and on the other by band, choral and arts spaces. A media center, cafeteria, stage and gymnasium are centrally located for ease of access.
